What People are
Saying About
Reality Parenting
-
"Finally,
a real parenting site!" - Mad
Dog
-
"Interesting
points to ponder ... It actually undercuts one of my arguments
against too much teen profanity: i.e. that it will diminish your
ability as an adult to express yourself cogently and subtly."
- Reed M. on Parental
Profanity.
-
"This
site is disgusting!" - Sara
(Editor's note: LMAO!)
-
"This
site is VERY funny and a breath of fresh air." - Mark
Rigney.
-
"I don't
find the concept of reality parenting offensive, actually I think
it's a quite good idea. I just don't agree with some of the
philosophy, such as swearing in front of your children ..." -
Boogie Jack
-
"You
oughta memorize this and take it on the road doing stand up comedy
... You are HILARIOUS!" - Kathy
Morgan-Jones on Second-hand
Smoke
-
"There's
a NEW gal in town ... Reality Mom. Cuts to the QUICK about the
realities of parenthood ... without all the nice fluffy
trappings." - Thorn of Able2Laugh
-
"I knew
there was a reason I didn't have kids. Thanks for the
laughs!" - Madeleine Begun
Kane
-
"OMG OMG
you are so awesome! I'm SO impressed just from the little I saw
already. I can definitely relate! " - Sandy
-
"The
Real Martha is happy to recommend another voice of sanity. I'm not
a parent but I do know BS when I see it. Reality Parenting is as
BS-free and non-PC as it gets. Reality Mom tells it like it is ...
warts, zits and all."
- The Real
Martha
-
"That is
one damned funny site. " - Ron
Marr
-
"You
think you're impressing people by bragging about dating
a rock star? You should be parenting your children instead of
running around with derelicts!" - Jennifer H. (Editor's note:
Uhmmm ... Was I bragging? LOL! Somebody's been listening to Dr.
Laura waaaay too much.)
-
"Nice
to see some reality in a parenting site every once in awhile ...
most of them are uppity do-gooder sites that
rip articles from major magazines. Refreshing."
- Mickey Speidell
-
"HILARIOUS!!!! finally
someone is willing to release us from our pain with humor.
Also, you are saying what most parents (if they are honest) are
saying to themselves or to their closest friends. As a
parent of teenagers this website will be visited frequently....."
- Gabe (Editor's note: Thanks for relating, Gabe!)
-
oh thank
god!!!! I
have, at last, found a site I can bear to return to - over and
over and over..........I
am so heartily sick of righteous parenting attitudes!! I
swear like an
out of work trucker in front of and AT my kids if they move me
to it - neither
swear, neither have hang-ups, neither are smarmy, nasty
little angels,
either - just two healthy, outspoken, well-adjusted and
assertive
little shites!!!! (Swearing lists amongst the many other things I
do.......it's
definitely do as I say in my household!! - Kerry-lyn
(editors note: Kerry-lyn should be writing for Reality Parenting.
I've asked her to submit more insights and giggles ...)

-
"Fantastically
humorous parenting site by a well known Internet author, mother of
2. Not for the weak of heart or the easily offended. So put on
your armor and come on over for the belly laughs.. you'll be glad
you did! - Kathy
Morgan-Jones (Love ya, Kat!)
-
"What
the hell is wrong with you? That is why this country is so screwed
up, from people like you who don't discipline their kids and
then when they get into trouble you are shocked that they robbed,
beat up, or even rapped someone. "what did I do wrong"
you ask and you can't figure out that you have bad parenting
skills, learn to be a parent not a buddy. When has drugs made
someone a better person? NEVER!!! Grow and be a responsible person
obviously you can't be a responsible parent I feel so sorry for
your daughter because if you are her role model she has no chance.
Yes ther are other things that are bad for kids but if you are
smart enough you don't let them have bleach to drink or lighter
fluid to sniff why let them harm themselves with other chemicals.
You make no since and you are a sorry excuse for a parent!" -

(This person needs to read the 'disclaimer for
dummies' on the page he or she is referring to (Teenagers
NEED Drugs) to see that I was JOKING. WTF people ... get a
grip and learn how to spell while you're at it). Here's my
reply to this moron:
"Oh for
the love of God. You are really too ignorant to be on my web site.
There is a disclaimer at the bottom of the article I wrote just for
people like YOU who are too stupid to realize it's SARCASM, meant to
be FUNNY. Here is a link to the "offending" article so you
can read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page:

Although thank you for the feedback which will go on my site. My
more intelligent readers will get a good laugh at your expense. I will
refrain from posting your email address, although it's tempting. Maybe
YOU need to take a pill, calm down and read the National Enquirer. The
Internet is too sophisticated for you.
Real-Kind Regards,
Reality Mom
-
Thanks for making my day. It's always a relief to meet parents who
aren't perfect, smiling, cookie-baking Stepford clones. Mmmmmmwah!
- Marion (Mmmmmmmwah back atcha Marion!)
